Celebrating 3 Years

It came as a surprise to even us as we hung out with Jade & Travis this afternoon, capturing their sweet lil' one's very first photos! Today is June 5th which means it is our 3rd anniversary! Travis was actually the one to remind us (thanks Travis!).

Though our journey started long before, June 5th, 2013 was the first official day of our photography venture, Fifth of June! As we remember our first blog post, the story of why Paige decided to pick up a camera for the first time (Thanks Meg!) we are blown away by how far we have come. We look back on what led us to begin this little business and how we came up with the name Fifth of June in the first place and we're humbled and thankful for the provision the Lord has had for us.

We're so blessed to be able to do what we do and we love it. We love our clients, we love the moments we get to capture and the memories we get to be a part of. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story, who has supported us along the way! As we always say, it's a privilege, an honor and a blessing to be able to do what we do! So here's to three years running and many more to come!

Gender Reveal & Baby Shower - Raleigh, NC

Erin is one of our favorite clients! She hired us back in the spring to do the photography and videography for a wedding shower for her sister-in-law, so when she contacted us to do the photography for one of her best friend's gender reveal and baby shower we couldn't wait. One, we love working with Erin and two she throws the best parties! Erin did a fabulous job planning every detail of the party. It was so much fun to be a part of the special time in this couple's life and to get to work with Erin again!

Happy Mother's Day

We want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there and especially to the moms we've had the privilege to photograph over this past year. We take this day to honor the hours of endless love and sacrifice you give each and everyday. The sleepless nights, early mornings, and 24-hour work days you've put in from the start. To the moms, grandmothers, and to all the women who have chosen to love simply for the sake of love - we celebrate you this day. We have been blessed to have some incredible women love and care for us - and it is our greatest desire to carry on that legacy of love and service for years to come. Happy Mother's Day!

Leanna's Bridal Shower - Raleigh, NC

One thing Paige and I love about photography is being able to capture special moments and memories for people. When Erin, an old friend of ours, contacted us about doing photography and videography at a bridal shower for her future sister-in-law, Leanna, we were really excited. Erin is such a fun, loving, and hilarious person and we knew that the shower would reflect all those things.  The shower was hosted at Erin's house by her and her mother. From the cozy environment to the personal details - the house was decorated with care. It was evident that everyone, especially Leanna, really enjoyed the time together. It is always a privilege to document celebrations like Leanna's shower - joyful gatherings of friends and family - to capture the details and moments and allow those involved to sit back and enjoy.
